Simplest operation with maximum patient comfort
Fast, non-contact anterior chamber analysis with the SL-OCT:
The non-contact OCT technology enables perioperative safety for refractive applications, e.g. LASIK.
Pre- and post-operative examinations can also be performed immediately after surgery without any risk of infection. The natural position of the patient avoids the negative side effects (e.g. incorrect anterior chamber depth) sometimes experienced in the past.
The non-contact examination is pleasent for the patient and prevents the anterior chamber from becoming distorted, as for example can happen when a probe is fitted.
Because the scan width is variable, to a maximum of 15 mm, the entire anterior chamber can be examined from angle to angle in a single scan for the purposes of biometry.
The scan depth is fixed at 7 mm which allows any depth of anterior chamber to be measured.
By selecting smaller scan widths in the range 2 mm, 4 mm or 8 mm, it is possible to view structures of the chamber angle, cornea etc. at high resolution. |
